Jérémy Clapin is working on a 10-minute short movie in Blender, which is to be released later in 2012.
Blender Caliper for 2.6X Crowdfunding Campaign.
Dolf Veenvliet is using crowdsourcing to fund the porting of the Blender Caliper script from Blender 2.49 to 2.63. He needs a minimum of € 1.000, but more funds will enable him to add some extra goodies and extend the support. Dolf has a great reputation in the Blender community, so I’ve chosen to back him with this.

Blender 2.63a Released
The Blender Foundation has released Blender 2.63a, a bugfix release. It contains over 100 bugfixes – a full list can be read on the Blender wiki.
Free Blender Workshop in Paris this Saturday
Francois “CoyHot” Grassard will be creating this scene during a 2.5 hour session in Paris this Saturday. He needs 30 signups though to ensure that the event can happen!
